Our vertical farm isn’t just another vertical farm. It is built and optimized to be fully modular. Our farm consists of different modules, which can all be connected and built togehter in just 30 minutes. This new approach to vertical farming opens completly new oppurtunities, such as automated space farming.

Automation

Our farm operates with full automation. The plants are watered automatically, and the lighting system is independently controlled. Our innovative lift system enables seamless plant transportation within the farm. Currently, we are developing a fully automated seeding and harvesting mechanism to achieve complete automation.

Affordable

Our farm prioritizes modularity and affordability, making vertical farming more accessible. The fully 3D-printed prototype uses low-cost, widely available parts, keeping the total cost at just 500 CHF.

Farmatic is the first ever, vertical farm which is built around modularity. Our farm can be assembled in just about 30 minutes. After that, the farm runs fully automated by itself.

From the beginning our team has set the goal on building a farm which is as affordable as possible. Therefore our team has decided to 3d print the whole Framework and a lot of the components.
